Scattered Jewels of Southsea
A big ass mean lookin' half-orc
The son of the wealthy human merchant, Jasper McFall, Gronk received the upbringing of a gentleman, but it is the blood of his mother, an orc, that boils in his veins. During his younger years at the Saint Boyle academy for boys, Gronk joined the Blood Ball little league which eventually earned him a scholarship for Saint Teal Fenway University (STFU) and eventually the Broflanite Blood Ball team itself; The Tricournes. Where he has garnered a small amount of fame and recognition, mainly because he is an half-orc, a rare sight and on top of that he is a half-orc Blood Ball player and a fine Blitzer at that. As a side job he took up blacksmithing and has made some fine wears, nothing fancy and ornamental, just weapons made for killing and armor made for living.
As a half-orc, Gronk didn’t really feel at home in a city comprised of humans, elves, and half-elves. Fortunately for him, his father disappeared one day during his junior year at STFU. How is this a good thing? Well, Gronk went to the authorities for help, to no avail of course what with the undead infestation that was going on at the time. So what did he do? He went to Broflan’s signature private eyes, the druids. Upon reaching the gathering hall where all the tribes come to chill out Gronk met WitherVine, Wilt-Leaf, and Raven Runner who were more than happy to help out their fellow Broflanite…and the pay was good too.
Venturing out into the Green Needle forest with his druish companions, Gronk learned a few tips and tricks of how to survive in the wild and even garnered the ability to call upon some primal powers, nothing too fancy. It didn’t take long for the forest walking quartet to find the orc camp where his father was “imprisoned”. As it turns out Gronk’s mother, Ro’konda Short-Nose wanted to try and kindle some romance with her once on for a brief moment of time boy friend; by sneaking into Broflan at night, kidnapping Jasper while he was asleep, taking back to camp and trying to bed him. She’s an orc, they do that sometimes. Uh anyway, to the druids surprise the Short-Nose tribe were very civil towards them and since Gronk was the daughter of the tribes Battle Mistress, everything went well. Pleasantries were exchanged, Gronk finally got to meet his mother and she her son; Jasper even invited Ro’Konda and some of her clan mates back to his estate for some etiquette lessons in fine dining; which they turned down.
After a brief discussion with his father and a heart felt good bye, Gronk took the school year off to live with his mother and his tribe where he learned all about his ancestors and what it meant to be a barbarian. With his tribe he learned how to enter controlled instances of rage, how to wrestle, summon the powers of his ancestors and most of all, what it is to belong. During his stent with his tribe he kept contact with WitherVine and the other druids. Though communications were difficult since the Short-Nose tribe are a nomadic bunch. Gronk was quick to learn his newfound talents and excelled at them, Ro’Konda couldn’t be prouder; when it came time for Gronk to return home he underwent the initiation rites of tribe and became a full-fledged member. Bidding his mother and his clan a manly farewell Gronk returned to Broflan a badass.
